Role

You will own technical art across the project: technical challenges, tooling and the production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create shaders in Unreal Engine
  • Research and develop rendering techniques that raise quality
  • Build plugins for DCC tools
  • Build and improve workflows that make artists more efficient

Required experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in programming, art, animation or tool development for games or film
  • Broad knowledge of shaders and DCC tools

Preferred experience

  • Deep familiarity with Unreal Engine
  • Shader authoring experience and knowledge
  • Knowledge of lighting for high-end game visuals
  • Experience building artist workflows
  • Experience investigating performance and memory
  • Experience investigating data issues and problems
  • Mastery of advanced 3D graphics software

Employment
Full-time or contract (contract hires are made with conversion to full-time in mind). 3-month probation.
Location
Kanda Center Building 5F, 2-3-2 Kajicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (about 3 min from JR Kanda Station)
Hours
10:00–19:00 (8 working hours, flextime available)
Holidays
Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year, paid annual leave, summer leave, celebration and condolence leave

Salary
