Make the game you wantSee it through

Across design, art and engineering, every voice reaches the game. At ArtPlay we keep making the games we truly believe in, together.

Why ArtPlay

Working at ArtPlay

We want ArtPlay to be a company where everyone can be happy, and we keep taking on new challenges to get there.

  1. Games that reach players worldwide

The Bloodstained series has sold over two million copies worldwide. We are now building The Scarlet Engagement for a simultaneous global release.

  2. Shape the game beyond your role

Because the team is small, we welcome any idea that makes the game better, regardless of title or discipline. A programmer’s proposal can change the game design.

  3. Craft we have built, carried into new play

Years of 2D action know-how, and new technology led by Unreal Engine 5. We put both to work and push play forward.

FAQ

FAQ

What is the atmosphere like?

Relaxed and easy to talk in. Hierarchy is flat, people are cooperative, and teammates get to know each other through hobbies and everyday conversation as much as through work.

What will my work look like after joining?

We hand over responsibility gradually based on your experience, and we support the challenges you want to take on, whether that is a new technology or a new career path.

What career growth is available?

We offer a range of career paths and growth opportunities, and support moves into different projects and new roles depending on your abilities and interests.

Is there a training program?

We support skill development and specialist knowledge, including technical training and support for language study.

What benefits are offered?

Full social insurance, leave programs, skill-development support and a gym subsidy, among others. We value work-life balance and use flextime and other flexible arrangements.

How international is the studio?

Staff of many nationalities work here and we actively pursue international projects and overseas releases. Japanese is the working language, so conversational Japanese is needed, but nationality is not.

Is there support for balancing work with childcare or caregiving?

Yes. We have programs that support balancing work with childcare and family life, plus flexible arrangements such as flextime. We will walk you through the details and real examples in your interview.

Is remote work possible?

It depends on the team and the project. Office work is the default with flexibility where it makes sense; please discuss the details during your interview.

How are employee opinions reflected?

Ideas and proposals are welcome from anyone. Regular meetings and feedback sessions make sure the team’s voice shapes both the projects and the company.
