Role

Under the director, you will handle game design for a new title in development.

Responsibilities

  • Write game proposals, specifications and documentation
  • Plan, design and implement levels, and create and tune their data
  • Place characters and gimmicks and create and tune the data that drives their behavior
  • Explain specifications and manage schedules and progress

What makes it interesting

  • Work on a title played around the world.

Required experience

  • 1+ years of console action game development (specifications, data creation, implementation, balancing)
  • A love of console and PC games, especially side-scrolling action
  • Strong communication: positive, logical, and fluent in Japanese

Preferred experience

  • Experience with game engines such as UE4 / UE5
  • Level design on commercial games
  • Understanding of programming

Employment
Full-time or contract (contract hires are made with conversion to full-time in mind). 3-month probation.
Location
Kanda Center Building 5F, 2-3-2 Kajicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (about 3 min from JR Kanda Station)
Hours
10:00–19:00 (8 working hours, flextime available)
Holidays
Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year, paid annual leave, summer leave, celebration and condolence leave

Salary
